More about the show
I was a young Chemical engineer who fell in love with live Stand-up comedy when I visited the London Comedy Store in Leicester Square back in 1987 – I know 1987! It shocks me too. I did my first gig not long after that & ditched engineering a couple of years later. I haven’t regretted a minute of it since.
Comedy in those days was performed all over London in noisy, smoky basements, rooms above pubs, anywhere you could legally fit a group of people, or illegally – it was the 80’s after all. Those crowds – office workers, media types, wide eyed tourists, off duty West End performers came to laugh because London was dirty, crowded & brutal & comedy was their release valve. My shows have always tried to capture what a London Comedy club performance is like – the traditional joke structure, the energy and bring that vibe to life so Australian audiences can touch and feel where my comedy roots come from and go home themselves, sore with laughter.
Award-winning comedian Jeff Green is going back to his roots with an evocative show of high-octane humour. A regular on TV and radio both here and in his homeland, with TV comedy specials and countless appearances on TV galas and comedy panel shows including Spicks and Specks, Just For Laughs Frequently invited back to the UK for much-hyped, critically acclaimed headlining appearances at comedy festivals, Jeff also returned to Edinburgh Fringe by invitation to perform a season for legendary ‘Big Four’ Fringe venue The Gilded Balloon’s 30th anniversary. The inimitable Brit with the non-stop jokes brings his pedigree to Australian Comedy Festivals when he lovingly returns to his roots in 2023.
★★★★★ ‘Makes you want to laugh with him, and stays with you long after the lights go down.’
Broadway Baby (UK)
‘One of the greats of pure laugh-out-loud comedy’
‘Pin-sharp comedy beautifully delivered’
The London Evening Standard ‘
Laugh for laugh Jeff is one of the best comedians in the land’
Nicky was a regular on the stand-up circuit in the UK after reaching the finals of prestigious comedy competitions ‘So You Think You’re Funny’ and ‘New Act of the Year’ in 2013, and now lives in Australia. She has a warm, likeable, down-to-earth style of comedy that instantly puts audiences at ease. Her impressive stage presence, witty charm and considerable comedy performance experience are ensuring she moves quickly through the comedy ranks here in Australia, making her ‘one to watch!’
In 2022, she was selected by Mary Tobin to be a part of the hugely popular ‘Best of the Edinburgh Fest’ show at both Adelaide Fringe and Melbourne International Comedy Festival. Nicky is also one half of multi-award-winning physical comedy duo, The Kagools.

British stand-up comedian, headlines all major International comedy clubs, as seen on Channel 4’s Kings of Comedy and Edinburgh or Bust. In 2001 after winning the Time-Out Competition to be a Perrier judge at the Edinburgh festival, Willis made the move from computer programmer to full time comedian. The IT crash also made this move slightly easier, if not essential- you’ve got to see the funny side of things after all.
Now, after over 3000 gigs in 11 different countries, including TV appearances in the UK and Australia. Willis performs in all major comedy clubs as a headline act or MC and International festivals throughout the globe performing solo shows (New Zealand and Melbourne Comedy Festivals, Adelaide and Edinburgh Fringes to name but a few).
At the 2012 Edinburgh Fringe Willis performed six 1hr shows a day for a month, repeating no jokes, breaking comedy world records and cementing himself as the single most experienced festival act in history. It should be noted- this brings no accolades with it, simply working hard doesn’t really get press attention, most comedians just like to do 6 shows a week at a festival, Dan averages about 30. Thus Willis holds a lot of records that no other comedian would either want nor need, but he has written a lot of material.
As well as straight stand-up, Willis also performs specialist comedy shows, these cover Computers, Zombies, Music, Ferris Bueller, Michael Jackson and Life in general- all are available for performances, be they corporate events or festivals.
Dan is also the Producer, Promoter and resident MC for The Best of British live comedy showcase that tours throughout Australia.
